W.I.P. - Toothless Flight Cycle

For my Portfolio Module at University I'm working on a playable Toothless (the loveable Dragon from How to Train Your Dragon) in the Unreal 4 Engine.
As part of the cycle, an "Altitude Gain" is needed where Toothless will flap his wings to get higher in the sky. Below is a video of a very major W.I.P. Block-out of only the wings. I was trying to determine whether the wings rose and fell high or low enough, though I think I've determined I'll need to add some more initial movement into the body to help get an idea of this.
Any thoughts or additions that you think would benefit the piece, please do include below. I'll post more up very shortly with some more movements to help give a better feel for how the flight would play out.
