Howdy folk,

Today I thought it'd be appropriate to delve into who I am a little more and discuss why I chose to be an Animator. Now I hear from a lot of guys at my University "Animation is the easy way to pass University"... though believe me - it isn't! Animation, like any other from of Art, is a skill which needs to be learnt. I can see this from some of my early work, some of the mistakes which weren't obvious to me now stand out like a sore thumb. So, if it wasn't because it was the "easy" option, why did I chose Animation?

Animated films was the biggest influence for my interst in animation, though it was also the brilliance of bringing a static character to life.

First Animated Film: Toy Story

Favourite Animated Film: How to Train Your Dragon

I'm regularly asked why How to Train Your Dragon as a collection (you can't be hating on the second film) is my favourite film, and honestly I don't actually know. It was really well made and something about it was gripping. To be honest I have watched it well over 100 times by now...

Though gaming has also been a massive part of my life, and I owe it all to gaming that I specialised in Game Animations. For those who don't know, my mate Craig Edwards and I run a YouTube Channel called 'C&N Online' where we do gaming reviews. I wouldn't able to have got that far without my love for gaming, and of course a great mate who has put up with the hassles of late nights to get content out. So what stands out Gaming wise for me?

First Game Played: Pokemon Yellow

Favourite Game Series: The Legend of Zelda (though there are many close contenders)

Favourite Game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

It's hard clarifying my favourite game as I have tons of amazing games that I love to go back to, but Majora's Mask will always hold a special place in my heart for years to come. With the 3D remake in my hands right now I'm surprised I'm taking the time to stop playing it at the moment!

I know though that there will be many films and games to come out in the future which will keep my interest in Animation strong, and I can only but hope I'll be able to work on my next favourite film or game.

It has been a mouthful, so I think I'll leave it on that note for today. What is your guys dream job or even hobby, and what got you into it? Leave some comments down below - I'd leave to hear from you.

Nathan :)
